Summer School

So, I’m guessing a lot of you groaned when you saw the title right? Well face the facts, school will be resuming within 2 months. I know I may be a smidge early, but my OCD brain is having none of relaxing and pretending my school is going to go on fire and I’m never going to have to return. Actually it was, but then I got stuck for something to do and by divine inspiration the sun shone through my window unto my lil’ pot of Vaseline. Then my thoughts got into gear after taking a picture of this awesome sight. Why hadn’t I thought of this before? School make-up for oppressed creative types.

 Basically that last sentence was supposed to mean, here’s some make-up you can wear in a strict school that doesn’t allow make-up. BTDubs, that’s my school.

But I have found ways to casually push the rules but not break them!

EYES:

You’ll need Vaseline, and eyebrow brush and an eyelash curler (these can be found in most chemists, I got mine in Superdrug for £1.50). 

Apply the Vaseline to your finger and then press your finger to your eyelashes. Pull upwards onto your eyelid. Comb through your eyelashes using the eyebrow brush and then curl your lashes. This technique is especially good for hay fever and allergy sufferers as eyelashes can often become entangled in each other and cause irritation.

EYEBROWS:

Use the same equipment as before without the eyelash curlers. Run some Vaseline through your eyebrow, this will cause it to stick down flat which is not a good luck. Therefore, use your eyebrow brush to comb upwards. Now you should have some crazy eyebrows. To eliminate the excess eyebrow on top, brush your pinkie finger along the top, just above the brow.

LIPS:

This is the easiest part; just apply your favourite tinted lip balm to your lips. I use a Montagne Jeunnesse cocoa and honey lip balm and it literally smells of sweet, hot chocolate!    

FACE:

Tinted moisturiser offers a natural, sheer coverage that definitely prevents the caked- on look.  Cover only your problem areas for an even less noticeable look. You can use a concealer, but I prefer to go without. Afterwards, a light dusting of a matte powder or translucent powder will set your look.

I don’t wear any blusher to school as my cheeks are naturally in blush mode! Oh well, I do save on product usage!

Today, as promised yesterday, I’m going to be doing a Style Profile on Kylie Jenner. Kylie has much the same look as her sister Kendall. Her style is obviously very flexible as one day she could be sporting a floral dress and the next rocking distressed denim. Here are a few pieces you should have to recreate a Kylie Jenner look.

LOOK 1: Out for Lunch/ Beach Day

Kylie is rarely seen in sunny California without a pair of black Ray-Bans. Because these can cost from $150 to $200, they are a tad too expensive for something that break very easily! Penneys have the exact same sunnies for only €3 and they also have some cute other pairs to pick up while you’re there!
